In the past 4.5 years I have gone back and worth with my consistency on writing on this blog! Life happens, business plans change, clients take up time and creativity and skills have changed.
One thing that I have learned in those 4.5 years is that growing a blog is hard work. Sure you can post here and there but growing a real readership takes dedication and consistency!
This is something I am working on, consistency! I have been trying to post 2-3 times a week. Ideally on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. But there is a little give and take as being a mom is my number one priority!
As I re-dedicated myself and started to “re-grow” my blog and it’s readership I have been studying and planning the best way to do this! Here are a few resources that have really helped me get a game plan!
1. Why we shouldn’t rely on Pinterest for blog view. — This is so true! Seriously read it!
2. I could spend hours reading through the Income Posts on Pinch of Yum. Bjork and Lindsey are so amazing. They know their stuff and share their wealth of knowledge. Check out their archives. You will be amazed!! They made $16k on their blog last month!
3. And lastly, I decided that because I am serious about growing my blog this time around I invested in the Mom Blog Money Blog workshop. I ‘ll be honest, I had a hard time coughing up the $199 for the training (I am a bargain girl!) but have it on good word from several blogging friend that this course will change your blog and business forever! I like the sound of that! I have already gone through Day 1 and Day 2 and I have a lot of changes to make to this blog to make it more “growable” and I can’t wait to work through the whole course! I will post more updates about how I like the course as I complete it!
So here’s to the ever-changing internet and blog goals!

I will be interested in seeing what you think. I’m kinda in the same boat as you. And although I think her site has a lot of good content on it. It’s kinda a hot mess (my opinion of course). But I’d like to learn some more about how to up my blog. Have you though about Blog U Conference (http://bloguconference.com/) I’ve been thinking about it. It would be a bit of a trek from Hawaii. :)
