The other day when we were going on a walk around the neighborhood my husband and I decided that at any given time you can smell 3 things in Hawaii: Flowers, BBQ, and Salt Water.
If you would have told me 5 years ago that today I would be living in Hawaii, armed with a can of bug spray, snorkeling, going to the beach, and smelling smoke pig bbq in the middle of the winter, I would have never believed you! I hate bugs and I have watched way to many discovery channel shows about shark attacks to be comfortable in the deep blue! But I wouldn’t trade the bugs or shark freight for this experience of enjoying the hawaiian lifestyle!
So here’s to the resolution of embracing the adventure in life! Trying not to sweat the small stuff, they are just bugs right? ha. And continuing to finding that delicate between family, health, work, play and faith! Have you started working on your resolutions for the year yet?

That does sound like heaven! Or at least looks like it by your pictures. :) But as with all that is good there is also opposition, isn’t there? I love your attitude about embracing all there is around you, good and bad, so that your life can be enjoyable. Happy New Year!

I’ve been to Hawaii twice. Both times I was overwhelmed by it’s beauty. The first time I went to the beach I called my mom and said, “This looks like a postcard”. It really did, like how can this be real???

Hawaii is beautiful… my husband, girls, and I live in Hawaii as well. Here another two years, then off to make a new home elsewhere… as he is in the military. Loved visiting your blog… popped over from Tidy Mom. Take care!
