I tried out a new recipe [from a food network magazine insert] and it is a keeper! This is how good they are… Brian asked me to make him a second batch just a week after I made the first! Yum! And yes, they are worth the sacrifice of my kitchen being 100 degrees after baking!

Chocolate Snowstorms
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
powder sugar
Beat sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix all dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to batter. Mix just until combined. Chill dough for 30 mins [don’t sneak to many bites of dough] Bake at 350 for 12-15 mins. Roll hot cookies in powder sugar.

They look delicious. I suppose this is just about the only way you’d get a snowstorm in Hawaii. :)
