Today I want to share a Printable Mothers Day Card with you because it is just around the corner! For those of you who don’t know my husband and I both grew up in Utah and that is where both our parents still live. For the past 3 years we have lived in Hawaii while my husband has been going to graduate school.
But a week after Mother’s Day we will be moving back to Utah! I’m pretty sure that bringing 2 grandkids back to Utah (to stay!) is a pretty good Mother’s Day gift for both our moms! What do you think? :)
But for a more traditional gift I made this Printable Mothers Day Card! And it has a matching envelope! Secretly the envelope is my favorite part! (wink!) To make your own all you will need is the free download (link at the end of the post) a printer, scissors, and glue. A paper-cutter / scoring board makes things nice but it isn’t necessary!
I printed both pages of the download, the card and envelope, on regular card stock. Well I didn’t print them…. I sold my printer last week at our moving sale. But I took the files to my local print shop. You can do the same!
I cut the envelope out with my scissors. I have absolutely no idea where I got my scissors. I sort of think they came with my set of Miracle Blade Knifes. Wherever they came from they are my favorite pair of scissors to cut paper! They have teeny tiny ridges (like teeny tiny) that cut the paper perfectly with a little ridge. That probably makes no sense. But I’m hoping you have a favorite pair of scissors so you can appreciate the coolness of “favorite scissors.”
After I cut out the envelope I used my scoring blade to crease the envelope folds. I have a super cheap scoring / cutting board. And you know what, it works great! Maybe someday I will invest in a fancy cutter. For now I use this one (or the one at the print shop if I’m there.) So score your envelope. Then glue or tape the flaps. Ideally sticky dots or something of the sort would work great. But I was working on a low supply of craft goods since we are moving so I used tape.
Now that you have your envelope made you can cut out the card. That’s pretty self explanatory. Cut. Fold in half. Fold! Again, I used my score board but you can just crease it with your hands or a hard edge as well.
Hope you enjoy Mothers Day whether you are a Mom, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Aunty, or Wife!

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of
any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically
tweet my newest twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like
this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this.
Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
